STUDY AND RESEARCH GROUP ON DIGITAL CULTURE, MEDIA AND EDUCATION

Summary: The study and research group on digital culture, media and education (Link@) focuses on the developments inherent in the presence and socio-cultural appropriation of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) for research in education and associated processes. Specifically, it focuses on the possible reconfigurations of education and its processes when imbricated with the functionalities of DICTs. Within this scope, Link@'s areas of study and research are diversified into different interrelated fronts, namely:

    • Teacher training for the pedagogical use of TDIC and cyberspace resources in teaching and learning processes;
    • Teacher performance in ICT-mediated teaching;
    • Cyberspace/software resources and their possible contributions to educational processes and research in Education;
    • Teaching and learning methodologies and processes mediated by TDIC;
    • Media-Education;
    • Electronic games and cyberspace platforms and their interfaces with education;
    • Actor-Network Theory and other neo-materialist theories as theoretical bases for problematizing the incorporation of DICTs into educational and pedagogical practices in digital culture.

Research Group on Education, Science and Technology in Contemporary Times

Summary: The group investigates contemporary issues in education with holistic approaches aimed at understanding multi- and intercultural scenarios, institutions and minority groups; relationships between science, technology, society and the environment; scientific literacy through "funds of knowledge" and "third spaces"; mediation by digital technologies and innovative experiences of teacher training and valorization. These approaches aim to produce knowledge about education, institutions and their participants and scientific and technological education today, with a focus on their humanization.

GEFI - RESEARCH GROUP ON EDUCATION, PHILOSOPHY AND IMAGE

Summary: GEFI aims to discuss cultural and image productions, their different languages, meanings and senses, through different approaches, in order to broaden the possibilities of knowledge, understandings and reflections with these objects. In addition to these interests, Gefi has also invested in cartography studies as a possible method for educational research. Since its creation in 2011, the Gefi has organized an event called "Encounter with Images and Philosophy", which annually brings together researchers from the field of Education and related areas, with research that cross-cuts philosophy, images, art, cinema and literature. From the meeting held in 2015, we organized the book entitled "What moves you to research? Essays and experiments with cinema, education and cartographies". The group has five lines of research: 1) Image and Education (Giovana Scareli/ UFSJ); 2) Philosophy of Education, Curriculum and Image (Rosana Fernandes/UFRGS) 3) Education and Transmedia Narratives (Andrea Versuti/UnB); 4) Images and Sciences (Priscila Fernandes/UFSJ); 5) Education, Cinema, other territories - ECOS (Fernanda Omelczuk Walter UFSJ).

NEPSHE - NUCLEUS FOR SOCIO-HISTORICAL STUDIES AND RESEARCH IN EDUCATION

Summary: The Nucleus for Socio-Historical Studies and Research in Education brings together researchers in the areas of History and Sociology of Education whose research focuses on the different educational practices that take place in a formal and non-formal way, both in the school environment and in other urban and rural cultural spaces. The lines of research involve the following areas: the history of childhood and women's education, the representation of black people in teaching materials, school trajectories, family-school relations, educational groups and associations in civil society. These areas are considered through Scientific Initiation, Master's and Doctoral projects, among other research projects.

GECDiP- GROUP FOR THE CRITICAL STUDY OF PEDAGOGICAL DISCOURSE

Summary: Since 2011, GECDiP has been developing studies and research in the field of Education and Language, with a focus on contemporary pedagogical discourse, under the aegis of the liberating dialog of the human philosophies of Paulo Freire and Mikhail Bakhtin. She is currently working on a research project entitled "Man, the word and the world: paths to critical reading and awareness-raising" and is promoting extension activities aimed at training critical readers among children and young people in situations of social vulnerability.

GPEALE - ALPHABETIZATION AND LITERACY RESEARCH GROUP

Summary: GPEALE has been producing research on literacy and literacy since 1998, in different contexts. The group has investigated literacy and literacy practices in school and non-school contexts, in urban areas and in the countryside. It works with theoretical and methodological references from New Literacy Studies, based on an articulation with Bakhtin's theory of enunciation, from an ethnographic perspective.

NUCLEUS OF STUDIES: BODY, CULTURE, EXPRESSION AND LANGUAGES

Summary: This is a multidisciplinary group that, in general terms, works on the relationship between Corporeality and Education in its Pedagogical, Anthropological, Aesthetic, Ethical and Epistemological dimensions. Currently, its study and research activities are divided into three areas: 1 Body, Affectivity and Culture: studies on Michel Henry and Merleau-Ponty, 2 Body and Education: philosophical perspectives 3 Education and the conscious body in pedagogical praxis. The Center has already published three books: Educational Practices: discourses and the production of knowledge (2007), Corporeity and Education: weaving meanings... (2010) and Corporeity, Education and Technologies: experiences, possibilities and challenges (2015), as well as articles and book chapters published by the researchers and their students.

NUCLEUS FOR COLLECTIVE HEALTH STUDIES

Summary: The Narratives and Care Study Group (Grená-NESC) brings together health and education workers, university professors, students and technical-administrative staff from different backgrounds such as pedagogy, psychology, medicine, literature, theater, speech therapy, nursing, social work and pharmacy, among others, to collectively learn and share our experiences and research into academic life, training and health processes.
Grená is also a line of research at NESC-UFSJ, a transdisciplinary space that seeks to investigate policies, daily life and social practices that take place in the production of life. On the one hand, we are interested in getting closer to the subjects, objects and knowledge that orbit the health field and following their paths. On the other hand, we are investigating the ways in which places of health have been constituted, from the home, school, street, collectives and health services. The aim is to understand the relationships between the state, society and science in the constitution of bodily practices and care in their movements, captures and gaps. In dialogues with social psychology, collective health and education, we are involved in a scientific production carried out with. Intervention research and different devices support our work with observations, diaries, narratives, stories, documents, memory and cartographies.
