Our research group works on the development of new enantioselective or conventional analytical methods using a variety of instrumental techniques, such as: High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), Gas Chromatography (GC), among others, coupled with mass spectrometry, ultraviolet-visible detection, among others. We also work on the development of new adsorbent materials for sample preparation, using classic or miniaturized techniques. Among the materials used are molecularly imprinted polymers, conductive polymers, porous materials, waste materials, among others. The development of methods always aims at a variety of applications, such as drug quality control, environmental monitoring, clinical, forensic and biotechnological studies. The group is highly multi- and interdisciplinary, acting in areas such as chemistry, materials, toxicology, biotechnology, pharmacy and biology.
