Graduate Program in Psychology
Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (Federal University of São João del-Rei)'s Graduate Program in Psychology was approved by the Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) in July 30th, 2017 and started its Master's Degree's activities in March, 2008. In 2018, the Ph.D Program was approved, having its first class starting in the second semester of 2019. The program is rated 4 in CAPES quadrennial evaluation of 2017. The PPGPSI/UFSJ has a comprehensive approach and defines "Psychology" as its research focus area.
The application for the graduate program happens every year, during the first semester. Classes begin for both master's and doctorate students in the second semester of every year. The program is completed within two and four years respectively. Faculty comprises mostly full time professors of UFSJ's Department of Psychology, with research projects in two areas:
1. Theoretical and Philosophic Fundamentals in Psychology
2. Institutions, Health and Society
